On April 25 my mom (74) who actually lives in Durban but stuck here now due to lockdown, and I went to Checkers Brackenhurst.
My mom got all the goodies she wanted and we made our way to the till.
A young, and can I say very good looking man, offered us his place in the queue and I said not to worry as the customer ahead of us is nearly done.
Then it was our turn at the till and while unpacking the last goods, this very same young man came and said please he wants to pay for our goods.
I naturally said no, but he insisted and paid the goods for my mom.
I was in awe and while wiping away the tears, my mom was so shocked she didn’t know what to do and I said, ‘Well no need to pay as this young man paid for you.’
I know we should be keeping a distance but my mom could not help but give him a hug with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Young man, you should know who you are, a big thank you for bringing such warmness to our hearts… you are amazing.
