I called at the practice of David Simons on Saturday March 8 at 16:30, which was well beyond closing time, having lost the sight in my right eye, due to a retinal detachment.
David immediately opened his rooms for me to conduct various emergency tests and diagnosed the problem.
David then made numerous calls in search of a surgeon, and drove me to Alberante area in order to see the optomologist surgeon, Dr. Kraukamp.
In addition, David conducted himself in a very professional manner and also arrived at 06:15 the following morning (Sunday) at the theatre, to reassure me before surgery.
Words could never express how grateful I am to David Simons for the extreme kindness and care shown towards me, and also to Dr Philip Kraukamp for his prompt response and also for performing the emergency surgery on a Sunday.
