KICK off Nelson Mandela International Day a little early this year, by running for a cause at the second annual Kaya FM 67km Relay for Mandela Day.
Come Sunday July 13, corporates can join Kaya FM at the Waterfall Estate Polo Fields in Sunninghill, Gauteng, to honour Madiba’s legacy by participating in a meaningful event that lends a hand to communities in need.
Entries are now open for both the 67km corporate relay and the 1.67km Family Fun Run/Walk for kids and their parents.
Last year, 1 102 corporate relay teams and over a thousand fun-run entrants participated in the well-attended inaugural event. This year, Kaya FM challenges even more South African corporates and families to pay homage to Tata Madiba’s contributions and run for an important cause: the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
The Foundation received R670 000 in proceeds raised from the inaugural corporate relay, funds which were put towards the various Foundation initiatives, including preserving and digitising some of Madiba’s papers, some which date back as far as 1929.
For entry details go to www.kaya67relay.co.za or get your entry form from selected running shops in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Entries close on June 3, or once the limit of 1 500 teams is reached.
