Boshoff sets Glacier Series hopes on Rustenburg event
National Final of the Glacier Junior Series takes place at the James Kingston Tournament at Rustenburg Golf Club on Monday July 7.
Ekurhuleni’s Paul Boshoff will continue his quest to claim a place in the National Final of the Glacier Junior Series, when he tees it up in the James Kingston Tournament at Rustenburg Golf Club on Monday July 7.
Boshoff, ranked fifth on the national junior rankings, has finished second and third on the series this year, but has yet to claim a victory.
He remains one of the few leading juniors in the country who has not yet won in this year’s series.
But as the host of this event, Kingston’s own career is inspiration for the likes of Boshoff.
“It can get tough, but you’ve just got to hang in there for a little while longer, keep knocking on the door, and some time it’s got to open. My whole career has been a little bit like that,” said Kingston, who had to wait until the relatively late age of 41 before finally claiming his first victory on the European Tour in the 2007 South African Open.
