Road closures for Carling Black Label Cup
Gauteng Traffic Police warns motorists on anticipated Hard and Soft road closures, traffic disruptions and congestion due to the Carling Black Label Cup soccer match.

Gauteng Traffic Police warns motorists about anticipated Hard and Soft road closures, traffic disruptions and congestion due to the Carling Black Label Cup soccer match between Orlando Pirates and Kaiser Chiefs at the FNB Stadium, Nasrec on July 26.
A capacity crowd of 90 000 people is expected at the stadium.
Hard and Soft Road closures will start at 10:00 until after the match.
The gates open at 12:00 and kick-off is at 15:30. The match ends at 17:30.
Stand tickets are sold out.
Strict traffic-control measures by Gauteng Traffic Police, JMPD and private security will be in operation around the Stadium Precinct from 10:00 to 20:00.
Motorists and other road users are advised to avoid the following intersections:
1. Along Soweto highway, at Golden Highway and N1 South onramp
2. Soweto Highway and Mentz Street
3. Main Reef Road and Nasrec Road
4. Nasrec Road, Adcock Ingram and Rand Show Road
5. Nasrec Road and N17
6. Along Nasrec Road at Booysens Reserve and Jukskei Drive
7. Along Crownwood Road, at Amethyst road and Booysens Reserve Road
8. Pat Mbatha Highway and True weg
9. Golden Highway and Stadium Avenue
10. Rand Show Road and Golden Highway
11. N1 North on-ramp and N17
12. N1 north off-ramp and N17
13. N1 North off-ramp and Rand Show Road
14. Booysens Reserve and League Avenues.
15. M1 south off-ramp and Nasrec Road.
16. Rand Show Road and N12 east off-ramp
17. Rand Show Road and Aerodrome Road
Recommended routes to the stadium:
General public approach the stadium from South via Randshow Road, access off the N1 and M1 North and South (Nasrec Road and Rand Show Road) and MUST avoid the N17 approach at all cost.
VVIP, VIP and Hospitality ticket holders approach from the North via the N17, from South via Soweto Highway (access off the N1 South) and from East via Rand Show Road (Access off the N12 South)
We urge drivers to use the following routes as alternative:
Main reef road from JHB CBD towards Soweto and Roodepoort.
M1 South to JHB South, Eldorado and other surrounding areas but avoid the Nasrec off ramp.
The N12 West towards Soweto, Chris Hani Baragwanath Road, Carltonville and Zuurbekom.
From the north use the N1 South, avoid Soweto/Nasrec/Diepkloof interchange off-ramp, proceed straight on the N1 South.
Parking
General public – limited prepaid parking tickets available at Computicket outlets from R20, parking limited at Expo Centre from 11:00.
No Public Parking outside of the Stadium.
People are advised to use Public Transport to the Stadium, to avoid traffic congestion.
Reya Vaya will be operating between Ellis Park and Thokoza Park, Library Gardens East and Noordgesig to FNB stadium. R13 single and R25 return trip card.
Metro rail: Trains will be running from different stations (Vereeniging, Lerella, Springs, De Wildt, Mabopane, Pienaarsport and Saulsville to Nasrec train station and after the match, R40 return.
Park and Rail tickets include safe and secured parking all the train stations.
Taxi’s: Taxi fare will differ depending on distance travelled and departing at 11am.
To FNB Stadium – R10 and R12 from Stadium.
Pick-up and drop-off points will at the stadium transport hub.

Noord Street – MTN Taxi Rank and the Bridge Rank, CBD – Bree Street, Commissioner, Von Wielligh, Von Brandis and Marshall Street Taxi Ranks and Maponya Mall Shopping Centre
Eldos – Kliptown Post Office Taxi Rank, Dobsonville, Moroka and Meadowlands Police Stations, Phefeni, Cross Road and Dube Station Taxi Rank.
Fans are advised to arrive early at the stadium before 13:00, to be seated two hours before kick-off.
There will be strict traffic law enforcement, heavy police and traffic presence.
Weapons, drunken spectators, bottles and smoking prohibited.
Illegal parking will be strictly regulated by Gauteng Traffic Police, JMPD and other law enforcement agencies.
Motorists are advised not to be directed to illegal parking areas by illegal car guards.
