Chiefs versus Pirates in Carling Cup challenge

The battle is on in the local derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

JOHANNESBURG – Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will be meeting in the battle of the local derby – Carling Black Label Cup – on Saturday July 26.

The match will be played in the South at FNB Stadium. The kick-off is at 15:30.

The battle is on, says Head coach of Orlando Pirates, after his team has been selected by the supporters. “The team is a balanced one and it does not differ from the players that we usually select,” said Vladimir Vermezonic.

“We are preparing well and my players are enjoying it. Thie squad has been playing together for two years now and the bulk of the chosen players comes out of this squad.”

“It is always an entertaining game and any side can take the win, but we want to win all our games this season. It will be interesting to take on Chiefs,” said Daine Klate, “It’s derby time and we want to play and it is always spectacular. We are also very happy to be part of it.”
