We often don’t recognise what the police sacrifices for our community, and what they do to protect us and our loved ones. We fail to show gratitude towards them, however, they are not the only ones out there protecting our community from crime.
The CPF is the eyes and the ears for the SAPS that goes out day or night for patrolling the streets, taking stranded dogs to help find their homes, making sure people who are under the influence get to go home safe to their loved ones. Many of us don’t even know about CPF, nor what they stand for, let alone what the CPF members sacrifice.
The CPF isn’t a security company that gets paid to patrol at night till the early hours of the morning. It is a group of citizens that is tired of crime taking over our lives, and wants to make a difference in helping to fight crime. The CPF is a group of citizens that stands together, sacrificing their time to patrol in their own cars, using their own petrol. They don’t get paid to do what they do, nor do they get any recognition. For them it is more rewarding to protect the innocent and for justice being served.
So I would like to say a word of thanks to all the CPF members out there for the sacrifices you all make just to protect our community. The community should join this fast growing group, because joining this team increases their numbers and the more criminals can be caught, the safer our community will be.
A word of thanks seems too little compare to what you all have done and achieved, but I guess for now a thank you would have to do.
Grateful resident
