Deep in the Woods festival

When this dream all began in 2013 it started out as an idea to enrich the South/Alberton area bringing a fun-filled event to our doorstep.

ALBERTON – “As children our imagination would venture deep into the woods, where beauty and intrigue were never-ending! Story books and fairytales, ever fuelling our dreams and fantasies.

“Who would have thought years later we would all return together to live out that dream, in our very own backyard. Deep in the Woods first launched in November 2013, and due to its success it is set to take place again on October 4 and 5, at a hidden gem of a venue called Meyers Farm.

“This farm comes with a rich history known as the ‘Walt Meyer Farm’. More than ever we believe that an event is married to its venue, South Africa’s weather is perfect for day events in the natural outdoors, and we cannot think of anything better than sharing in the beauty, intrigue and mystery that surround rolling hills, tall trees and sun-soaked landscapes .

“With the spectacular success of the first festival, we are now able to present the second addition to the event and not only enriching our community, but adding a wonderful charity to benefit from our event. This charity, CMR Alberton (Social Christian Council), which protects, supports and uplifts children, families and other vulnerable people in the community without any discrimination.

“The event will have an excellent line-up of DJ’s local and for this second concert, three international acts, namely, Josh Butler, Nora Eu Pure and Alex Kenji. The festival will have an array of food stalls from various different cultures around the world. Many of you have already purchased your tickets; for those who haven’t; get them now via web-tickets. Come join us in this magical event, says Kirk Pietersen, Deep in the Woods Team.
