Thank you for your support Alberton

I am humbled by your love and support. My family and I will continue to serve our community with dignity.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the people that have supported us in this very difficult year.

2014 was the worst year of my life. My family and I suffered huge public humiliation and embarrassment at the hands of people who chose to spread blatant lies about us. It was an attack on our integrity and my personal character. Our family and children suffered tremendous prejudice and our businesses were severely harmed by the malicious lies and negative publicity.

My wife and I are humbled by the support we received from all our friends, family and so many of the people in our community. We thank every one who chose not to participate in the gossip and refused to believe the lies and rumours about us. The liars and haters had their 15 seconds of fame on national television, but the reputational damage they caused will take years to rebuild.

My family and I have been vindicated by the BCCSA ruling and the public apology from Carte Blanche. Our dignity has been restored and we came out of this experience a lot stronger and wiser than we were before. I pray that my wife, children and family will never have to go through this ever again. I regard this challenge with Carte Blanche as a testimony that no matter who you are – no lie can live forever. We exit this battle victorious, but the scars will remain for a long time.

Because my family had suffered tremendously through these lies, I will never allow people to judge us based on the lies, gossip and rumours of others. I struggle daily trying to understand the motivation behind the lies of the haters. People don’t shape who we are, they merely serve to expose our true character.

Thank you to every one that did not judge us prematurely, but chose to support us in our hour of need. I am humbled by your love and support. Alberton, my family and I will continue to serve our community with dignity.

  1. What a heart breaking story. I can just imagine what these poor people has gone through. I am sure they did not deserve this. the Diamonds are examples of how people should always remain strong no matter what the circumstances. It is nice of Neil to say thank you to all that supported them.
