Living in Alberton North is scary
With reference to the letter 'Alberton North is a disgrace': Do you have any idea of living in this area? You are too scared to be out of your house past 18:00.
ALBERTON – I saw people dealing drugs in broad daylight in Pieter Uys Street one afternoon when I came from work. Not to mention people driving over stop streets and robots all the time. I even stop at every intersection. Even if I am not suppose to.
Cars are being stolen at 13:00 and nobody sees anything. Unfortunately nowhere else is affordable enough for me to live. Places the same size in Florentia and Verwoerdpark cost double. Not fair for single mothers out there trying to do the best they can.

Oh come on. I live in Alberton North and it’s no better or worse than any other suburb in the country. People disobey traffic laws everywhere, what’s special about this suburb? Ditto for illegal drugs, alcohol, loitering, rubbish, service delivery – the list is endless. Stop being a drama queen.
