Positive living at the World Aids Day Race
The Ekurhuleni World AIDS Day marathon is designed to encourage citizens to unite in the fight and start leading a healthy lifestyle.

IN stepping up the pace against HIV and AIDS and strengthening efforts towards realising the goal of an HIV-free generation the City of Ekurhuleni, in partnership with Soul City, held their annual World AIDS Day half marathon, 10 km and 5 km road races at Katlehong Sports complex.
The fight against HIV and AIDS and the stigma attached to it is a collective battle that can be accomplished through social cohesion.
The Ekurhuleni World AIDS Day marathon is designed to encourage citizens to unite in the fight and start leading a healthy lifestyle. Once the races were completed, participants with their friends and family queued outside the mobile clinic for anonymous and confidential HIV testing and other health screening tests.
Protecting yourself and your loved ones starts with knowing your HIV status, but knowing your HIV status and leading an active lifestyle ensures longevity and good health.
