Golden Lions rugby start
Golden Lions rugby, with a new sponsor Emirates Airways to back them, kicks off their 126th rugby year on Saturday January 31.
ALBERTON – This will be super side’s only warm-up game, with two teams in action against the Leopards and Pukke from North-West. The Lions 2015 super rugby opening clash will be against the Hurricanes on Friday February 13 at Ellis Park.
Alberton’s Derick Minnie and Springbok touring team member last year, Jaco Kriel, are contracted to the Lions super rugby squad. Alberton rugby supporters can look forward to great super rugby season at Ellis Park.
