Resilience’s top gymnasts for 2014
Resilience Gymnastics Club, based in Robertsham, held their annual club competition and prize-giving recently.
ALBERTON – The competition was attended by most of the club’s 70 gymnasts in the three disciplines offered by the club, namely Artistics, Rhythmic and Tumbling.
All gymnasts were awarded certificates for their progress and more than 30 gymnasts who took part in competitions were awarded their Central Gauteng Provincial Colours.
These colours were also awarded to Roxanne van Herwaarde (owner of the club) for Coaching and Judging Womens Artistics and Tumbling, as well as coaches Tracy van Herwaarde and Angie Enslin for Womens Artistics and Fikile Jaxa-Rhythmic Gymnastics.
The following gymnasts were awarded Top Gymnasts of 2014: Junior Womens Artistics Gymnast – Letabolaka Maponya, Senior Women’s Artistics Gymnast – Donelle Maccario, Junior Men’s Artistics Gymnast – Joshua Felix-Southon, Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnast – Gomolemo Morodi, Junior Rhythmic Gymnast – Nandi Zulu and Senior Tumbling Gymnast – Seth van der Merwe.
