Cricket time competition starts
The first weekend of the time cricket competition, which bowled off the last Sunday of January, was a very good weekend for Alberton top three league teams.

Premier league: Alberton vs UJ at UJ Oval:
Alberton made 231/10 and in reply UJ stood on 177/6 when rain stopped play and the match was drawn. Best batsman Donovan Auckamp 87 runs and best bowler Ziyaad Desai with two wickets in 14.5 overs.
President league: Alberton vs Lenasia at Lenasia Stadium.
Alberton amassed 305/3 and dismissed the home side for 192, to give Alberton a first innings win by 113 runs. Best batsman Rowan Dyer, who scored 130 runs not out, and best bowler was Sisa Peti with bowling figures of two wickets from 13 overs.
Sunday 2 league: Alberton vs Alexandra at Alex Oval:
Alberton made 91/10 and Alexandra 90/10. Alberton won on the first innings by one run.
Best batsman Chadd Hunzinger 32 runs. Best bowler Dian La Cock three wickets from five overs.
