Race for success

All roads will lead to the Deloitte Marathon on Saturday March 1, when one of the fastest marathons for runners who wish to achieve a personal best will start at 06:00 from Pretoria High School Old Boys Club.

It is also known as the race for success.

The race day encompasses 21 and 42 km races and a 10 km. The cut-off time is 11:30 for all races.

It will be only pre-entries for the marathon and half-marathon, but 10 km entries are available on race day at Phobians Athletics Club on the corner of Kings Highway and Queens Crescent, Lynnwood.

The race records are 65:25 for the 21 km set in 2013 by Kgosi Tsosane, and 42 km in 2:22:19 by Raphael Segodi, also in 2013. The first man to better the 10 km record of 29:38 could win R3 000.
