I often wonder if we as parents ever consider what we are teaching our kids through example.
We live in a one-way street at Alberview Primary in Randhart. It astounds me how many parents come up the one-way in the morning (at a speed because they are late) to drop their kids at school. For information sake, the one-way is to control the traffic around the school as a kid was run over many years ago in our street.
We handed a petition in for more road signs and to have lanes painted for left and right turns to give us an opportunity to turn into Michele Avenue (it is hectic in the mornings to get out of our gates and into Michele Avenue).
This was accepted by Mr. Dorfling, head of the Traffic Department, and he organised for it to be done in a very quick and efficient way. I hereby wish to thank him and his team for this.
