Yes, Alberton looks run down

I just read the Alberton RECORD and agree fully with all the comments regarding the run-down state of Alberton.

ALBERTON – Once a town to be proud of, but now just a rundown town because of a pathetic municipality. They just want more and more from the rate payers, but provide no service delivery at all.

For example, just look at the state of the major intersection on Swartkoppies Road, and the bridge over the Vereeniging freeway. Pot holes, crash barriers broken (this is for many a year now), rubbish next to the islands and extremely bad road markings. Well most of the road markings in and around Alberton, actually. The state of Ring Road when you are passing the hospitals leaves a lot to be desired.

Another eye-catching site, for the wrong reason, is the Fire Department. Don’t these people take any pride in their town or place of work? Just look at the entrance to the Fire Department, it is disgusting.

Finally, I wonder after many a year when the bridge over Swartkoppies will be repaired? Only talk, no action.

I am sure many a rate payer will agree with the above.

It is so sad to see our once lovely town run down by useless management with no planning, control or pride.
