South teams tops in Sport Quiz
The two regional winners from Alberton and the South respectively finished within the top three in the Central East Gauteng Sport Quiz competition final, which coincided with the Cricket World Cup.
The competition presented by Music Unlimited under well known Quiz Master Tony Nortje ended on World Cricket Cup final day at Vini’s Bedfordview.
The Alberton team finished as overall runners-up, and the team from the South finished in the final third position.
The eventual competition winners were the Benoni team called Grapes four ball, comprising Clive Cookson, Richard Pretorius, Dean Fairly and John Darby, who outplayed the Alberton boys by three points in the final.
