Juanré Potgieter was the man of the moment at this year’s Alberton Cricket Club awards ceremony, when he walked away with the highest award of cricket player of the year. This is the trophy which was won by big names in Alberton cricket annals and was well-deserved recognition for Jakes, as Juanre is called by his team mates. He amassed 552 runs and took 10 wickets.
