Team-B-Que South Africa hail from Brackenhurst and have represented South Africa for three years at the Jack Daniel World barbeque invitational in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

Jack Daniel’s World invitational barbecue Championships are held in Lynchburg Tennessee each year.

Team Braai-B-Que from Brackenhurst represents South Africa and will do so again this October.

Team-B-Que won the award for the best spirit at the championships two years ago.

Borries and Braaiboy are looking forward to the Championships this year.

Food is served to the judges at two hour intervals at the Championships.

Braaiboy and Borries worked right through the night to prepare for the guests.

Soft and juicy.

The brisket was absolutely delicious.

The categories include Chicken, ribs, pork, brisket, homeland cooking and dessert. All teams take part in all the categories.

The Makarapas and vuvuzelas add to the spirit and unique character of this team.
