Thank you Alberview Primary for the wonderful gesture

Alberview Primary School held a charity fund-raiser to collect cat food for more than 400 feral cats we look after in and around Alberton, Meyersdal, Randhart and Glenanda, to name a few places, after having them sterilised and returning them to their colonies.

Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for their very generous donation of much needed cat food .

We are overwhelmed and so appreciative of what they have done for us. They also donated a substantial amount of money collected to the Alberton SPCA.

The whole school is a wonderful example of how, together, we can make the lives of these poor kitties so much easier, as they struggle to survive in difficult circumstances.

As you know, times are hard and on the day we got the bad that one of our sponsors would not be able to help anymore, we had a call from Ms Vermeulen, the principal of Alberview Primary School, in Randhart.

We have trapped and sterilised all the cats at the school and she noticed that we were feeding them as well.

She informed us that they had collected some cat food, as well as cash donations.

When Sally and I got to the school we couldn’t believe our eyes.

There, in front of us, were heaps of bags of cat food – two car loads full. The donation of food is enough to last us two months. The cash that was collected was given to the SPCA Alberton.

There are just not enough words to thank Ms Vermeulen, the staff and all the pupils who so generously made donations.

Thanks again.

Sally and Charlmaine.
