The tin that Ms Chantel Feuth from Marais Viljoen made to collect money in for Brendon Macdonald contained a big surprise that not even his mom was expecting.

When Brendon opened this tin that his teacher Chantel Feuth made to collect money in for his operation, he was really touched and surprised to find many encouraging notes from Marais Viljoen pupils, some whom he doesn't even know.

a Happy Brendon in his room. His mom, Liza posted all the notes on a board for him to see everyday.

Liza, his mom said she started crying when all the notes popped out. “It was the end of me” she says.

Knowing that so many people are rooting for him makes a very big difference in Brendon’s frame of mind.

One of Brendon’s teacher, Chantel Feuth made the tin and it is used to collect money for Brendon and now letters of hope and love.

Brendon will be in a brace and bedridden for four months after the operation. A long road of recovery for a young man.
