Elvis comes to town

For one night only, popular singer and platinum selling South African musician and songwriter, Elvis Blue, will perform in Alberton, much to the delight of thousands of his fans. The concert, “Music and Picnic Evening”, in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services, will take place on Wednesday, September 23, in the beautiful Meyersdal Eco Estate, starting at 18:30.

ALBERTON- For one night only, popular singer and platinum selling South African musician and songwriter, Elvis Blue, will perform in Alberton, much to the delight of thousands of his fans. The concert, “Music and Picnic Evening”, in aid of Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services, will take place on Wednesday, September 23, in the beautiful Meyersdal Eco Estate, starting at 18:30. Elvis Blue rose to fame in 2010 when he took part in sixth season of the reality show Idols South Africa and was announced winner during the final held on November 2, 2010. He is the most successful Idol in the history of the franchise, with every album since then winning at least one SAMA (South African Music Award).

He has recorded and released nine albums in his music career spanning 15 years, four of which were post Idols. Two of these albums are platinum and one is gold. His latest album, “Êrens in die middel van nêrens” was released in May. Elvis Blue has had 10 top 10 radio singles and has sold over 350 000 albums since 2010. Tickets to the Music and Picnic Evening sell at R250 per person. Picnic baskets will be on sale, but need to be ordered in advance. Prices for the baskets range between R300 and R400. Opening act for Elvis Blue will be Christiaan Kriizinger, known for his songs “Asem” and “Mal oor Jou”.
