
Two weeks ago, a tyre on the banks of Jackson Dam held a nest and five or six beautiful duck eggs with the proud parents beside them.
This morning I found the nest empty and no sign of the eggs. The guard told me that it was small children who destroyed it.
Imagine the heartbreak of the parent ducks as they watched their unborn offspring being destroyed.
