Resilience gymnasts crowned champions

ALBERTON – Tanielle Smith, an artistic gymnast from the Resilience Gymnastics Club, was crowned on August 1 as the Gauteng Champion in her section and as the North Zone Champion on August 29.

On September 5 Seth van der Merwe, an artistic and tumbling gymnast, earned the title of Gauteng Tumbling Champion for the second consecutive year, this time for level four.

Seth finished off the club’s competition season as the South African Champion in level four tumbling.

“We, as a club could not have asked for a better ending to our competition season. We are incredibly proud of these two gymnasts,” said the coach, Roxanne van Herwaarde.
