Alberton cricket bowled over
Alberton cricket’s top three club sides in the limited overs cricket competition suffered defeats in the last round of October matches.
Premier League: Alberton vs Wanderers at Alberton Oval:
Alberton made 164/10 and Wanderers edged 189/8 to win by 25 runs.
Best batsman Eben Koekemoer 48 runs not out and best bowler Juanre Potgieter four wickets in eight overs.
President League: Alberton vs Lenasia at Lenasia Stadium:
Alberton scored 240/10 and Lenasia 272/10, to give Lenasia a 32 run victory.
Best batsman Morne van Niekerk with 58 runs and the best bowler Calum Brown with three wickets from eight overs.
Sunday two league: Alberton vs Lenasia at Alberton High School:
Alberton recorded 267/10 and Lenasia 280/9 to win by 13 runs.
Best batsman and bowler Michael Cox with 85 runs and three wickets from eight overs.
This past Sunday, President league played against UJ at home and Premier League against Soweto. Results will follow in a next issue.
