Roads are going backwards

Referring to the article in the Alberton Record of November 11 (Bridge open to public), this is the one over Swartkoppies Road, which took almost five to six years to fix.

ALBERTON – I take it that the member of Mayoral Committee for Roads and Transport, Petrus Mhlari, must now be very proud of himself.

Why does he not put money where his mouth is and carry out a total upgrade of the intersections at the R59 and the bridge over the Vereeniging highway. This will include missing railings, sign’s falling over, pot-holes, road markings, cleaning of island’s (a total general clean-up).

The state of the roadworks in Alberton has gone one way and that is backwards.
