Black Friday comes to SA

Traditionally Americans celebrate Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

The term Black Friday was coined in the 1960s to mark the kick-off to the Christmas shopping season.

Black refers to stores moving from the red to the black, back when accounting records were kept by hand and red ink indicated a loss, and black a profit.

This year, the much loved holiday has made its way to our sunny shores, giving South Africans a taste of super savings and discounts.

Many franchises have opted to participate in the one day only sale.

This is a great opportunity for people to buy their loved ones their Christmas gifts at a discount.
