Players must put rugby first

“To better the club, get out of your comfort zone and a fresh attitude is needed,” stated chief coach, Kaya Motlatana,

“Results were not so good and commitment for the new is a challenge,” was the introduction of the message from A-Square-Forklift Alberton Rugby Club’s chief coach, Kaya Motlatana, former Springbok rugby player at the 2003 Rugby World Cup, to Alberton rugby players for the new season.

In a strong-worded message, Kaya appealed to all players that the best efforts are needed to lift the club up to the same high level as the golden days of Alberton rugby three decades ago.

“To better the club, get out of your comfort zone and a fresh attitude is needed,” he said. Kaya also asked players to show honour to Alberton A-Square-Forklift Alberton Rugby Club who supports their players.

The chairman of Alberton Rugby Club, Manie Reyneke, supports the chief coach in his appeal to all players “to put high standards in what you believe.”
