Sporting Football Club: Women’s team wins the double

SPORTING Football Club women’s team has recently secured the double, winning both the Eastern Local Football Association – ELFA Cup by beating near neighbours Mondeor Women’s team, and the South African Football Association – SAFA – Women’s Division 2 league.

The team secured 16 wins, two losses and two draws out of 20 matches. They managed to finish Top of the Log with 50 points, narrowly fighting off JVW Women’s team, who finished level on points, in what was a strong display of football throughout the season.
