SAMUEL Mosia was awarded the Work Rider of the Season award at the Work Rider’s meeting at Turffontein on Saturday, May 14.
He was the deserving winner of the three-legged Work Riders Challenge Series for the season.
Mosia earned R20 000 as series winner and also landed a R5 000 cheque as leading rider on the day.
Francis Semela finished second in the series and landed a cheque of R10 000.
Chamu Mabaya finished third and earned R5 000.
The cheques were presented by James Maree from Eikenhof, whose tutorship has been invaluable to Work Riders for many years and he has also been the driving force in securing better prospects for Work Riders and their families.
