Waterstone girls make Gauteng netball team
This is an outstanding achievement for any primary school netball player as approximately 10 000 players went through six sets of trials, and Waterstone players were within the top three positions in Gauteng.
CURRO Waterstone College is extremely proud of two Intersen Phase netball players who have made the Gauteng netball team.
This is an outstanding achievement for any primary school netball player as approximately 10 000 players went through six sets of trials, and the Waterstone players were within the top three positions in Gauteng.
Sidney Coetzee has made the u.13 team and Khanyisile Goba has made the u.12 team.They have been part of their respective Waterstone netball A teams since Grade One and both of these teams have performed extremely well in the G16 league games. Since joining the league, the u.12 team has not lost a game and has been top of the league for two years. The u.13 team has won once in their league and are about to take a second win this year. Waterstone coaches are striving to give them the best possible training and opportunities.
Khanyisile has also been part of the high performance netball programme that Waterstone offers, and has improved due to her dedication to the sport.
Sidney and Khanyisile are not only performing extremely well in netball but are also achieving in other sports which they participate in.
Sidney has achieved a level two in the regional gala’s, a fifth in the Sun City swim, and was awarded Junior Victrix Ludorum at the Southern African Christian School’s Sports Association (SACCSA) Nationals for her outstanding swimming results.
Khanyisile has received her Central Gauteng colours for gymnastics in 2015. She also received three silver medals and one bronze. This year she has achieved a gold medal and has once again made it into the Gauteng team for 2016.
