The September holidays have arrived. One Monday afternoon I decided to take my aftercare kids from Dudes and Divas to the ‘park’ in Raceview down the road from us.
I took a walk with kids in one hand and a picnic basket, rugby balls in the other hand. When we got to the ‘park’ we were shocked and disappointed! The park was full of broken bottles, litter and hobos.
Well, that was the end of our outing, and we had to come back to the aftercare with disappointed kids. It was impossible to find a place to sit, never mind run around without being injured. Parks are for families to enjoy. So sad.
Can Ekurhuleni not clean up this mess. How do we get rid of these hobos and people that litter with no respect for the next person that actually wants to enjoy an outing.
Please Raceview, we are an upmarket area, keep it that way.
