Businesses battle it out on the greens

The Alberton Bowling Club boasted their biggest entry yet for their latest Annual Business League.

THE Alberton Bowling Club boasted their biggest entry yet for their latest Annual Business League.

This year saw three teams from Imperial Toyota, Bedfordview and 31 teams from the Alberton business community taking part in the eighth annual Business League that took place every Wednesday evening in February.

“Participants ended off the evening with a delicious meal after the fun on the field, so a ‘big thank you’ goes out to Flo Kleynhans and her son Anton for the catering,” said Renée Venter from the club.

“This tournament would not be possible without the sponsors, so a ‘huge thank you’ goes out to: Raceview Motors, Perfect Delivery, JMB Cranes, Il Forno Restaurant, Promise Grill, New Republic Auto, Engelbrecht Lifting, Old Mutual, Michelle Neethling from Von Hoësling and Neethling, Willie Breytenbach, Ann Matthysen, Maria de Sousa and Eyewear Boutique,” added Venter.
