PIRATES of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, the fifth and final adventure in the series of record-breaking blockbusters, will start showing in the Xtreme cinema (3D) at Nu Metro The Glen from May 26.
Xtreme is Nu Metro’s Premium Large Format Screen brand. This technologically advanced cinema will project Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge with spectacular effect on one of the largest, brightest screens in the city – including superior 360 degree sound (through the Barco Auro™ sound system) along with crisp RealD digital projection.

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow. The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea – notably Jack.
Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.
Sound in Xtreme cinemas includes overhead speakers and a large array of speakers placed strategically throughout the cinema – a vast improvement on the limitations of traditional cinema surround, moving past the confines of “stereo” or “surround sound channels.”
