Thumbs up to department

Resident is thankful.

I just want to thank EMM for helping us with a problem we had on September 19.

We live in Letaba Street Brackendowns and have been without power due to fibre cable trenches. My son, who is a student, was at home at the time and only informed me when I arrived home from work at 6pm. He was under the impression that there was a power failure in the area but on closer inspection I noticed that the cables were damaged by the contractors digging trenches on our pavement.

I immediately phoned the Ekurhuleni Municipality and have to say that I was very impressed with their response time (about 20 minutes) and helpfulness. At first it seemed that there was no hope, but on September 21 the power was restored.

Thumbs up for the city electricity department and even the call centre.
