ONLINE ARTICLE ONLY – LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

YOUR head’s in a spin, it’s Friday, December 22 and you’ve not bought a single Christmas gift!

Get your skates on, guurl (and guys too) and check out your local newspaper or online for late night shopping hours at the malls.

Before you set out, make a list of who you have to buy gifts for and keep within a certain budget. Definitely be sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes, high heels just won’t do!

Go to one mall only where you’ll have a good choice of stores, and before leaving your vehicle, lock it and check it’s locked. While you are doing your Christmas shopping, some are doing shopping of a different kind and you don’t want your car on their list!

If you are really stuck for ideas, a book, CD, DVD or store voucher are great choices, especially for teens. They can be so difficult to buy for and with changing fashion and tastes, a gift voucher is probably your best bet.

Youngsters under 10 years old will prefer a gift. Check out the toy stores but don’t be fooled thinking small toys are not going to cost you much, they are often the most expensive. Keep a look out for the prices and don’t be tempted to spend more than you budgeted for.

As time is running out and you fear the mall is about to close, remember most adults will appreciate a bottle of wine or liqueur, a box of chocolates or maybe a beautiful plant.

Make use of the gift wrapping services offered; in paying a small token for this you’ll also be supporting a local charity.

A few hours later as you leave the mall behind you with all your wrapped gifts, you’ll feel a huge weight lifted from your shoulders, knowing you’ve finished just in time for Christmas!
