SPCA golf day was a big success
“We would like to thank each and every one of our sponsors and players without whom the day would not have been the success it was.”
ALBERTON SPCA held their annual Golf Day at the beginning the month to raise funds to refurbish their outreach vehicle. This event was a fantastic success thanks to the massive support they received from the community.
“We would like to thank each and every one of our sponsors and players without whom the day would not have been the success it was,” said Vanja Ingold of the SPCA.

“Remax All Stars, Kia Alberton, Safety@Work, Caroline Jones, Il Forno, Remax Finest, Data Real Estate, ACDC Express, Ann Watson, Luv Dog Pet Spa, Raceview Motors, Nevada Construction, Century 21 Alberton, Sereno Health & Wellness, Mugg & Bean Newmarket Mall, TWT Alberton, Boottee Bronzing, The Tudor Pub & Grill, Vodacom, Green Plastic Designs, Aquelle, Auto Image Car Wash, Lemon Tree, Springbok Pharmacy, Rocky Peak Spur Brackenhurst, Meat World, Apple Tree Fresh Food Market, FJM Accounting Services, Kalo as well as Reading Country Club all generously gave us their support to raise the funds we so desperately need,” she said.
“If we have missed anyone out, please accept our apologies. We thank each of the players that battled it out on the demanding course, for their commitment and generosity. We are truly grateful to everyone who supported us and helped us raise those much-needed funds to refurbish our ‘hospital’ vehicle.
“The Alberton SPCA receives no government funding and so is entirely dependent on the local community to assist them in carrying out their mission of preventing cruelty to animals.

“A huge thank you should also go to the committee who worked tirelessly to obtain sponsors and players and worked hard on the day to ensure it went smoothly. The committee members do not receive any remuneration for the work they do in raising funds and simply do it for their love of animals. No SPCA can survive without a vibrant committee and Alberton is fortunate to have great people who do whatever they can to raise funds,” she added.
