I recently had an experience with a fairly senior police officer whose mobile number was given to me because there was no response from the control room.
I would like to add that I was seriously expecting some assistance from this person who knows exactly who he is. His biggest concern, was how I had his mobile number as it was a private line, answered in working hours but not for work?
He told me to phone the control room and when I told him that nobody answered, his response was that I had a big problem and he promptly put the phone down on me. I urge him to remember who pays his salary.
