Pull together for safety
Residents are urging communities to become more aware about their safety.
I have a concern that people in the community want to blame the police for not doing their job, what are the people doing for their own safety?
We have the same problem in Mayberry Park, and if people do not do something about their own security not even the army can help them.
Know your neighbour. It has taken me six months to get more people in our street involved for their own safety and sure enough my prevailing has helped. Our whole street is involved in security we have two way radios so we can contact each other.
Do something for yourself, and save one street at a time. I go to the police forum meeting monthly and the police do try their utmost best, they are just a phone call away. I do use them weekly when something is not right in our streets.
