Off the Boyle this Christmas

Susan Boyle comes nowhere close to warming anyone’s hearts with her latest lukewarm Christmas album.

JOHANNESBURG – Anyone who is a fan may probably enjoy Susan Boyle’s Christmas album, Home for Christmas. The irony of it is; the album should only be played in your home… alone. Playing it for friends and family might embarrass you.

While Boyle offers her audience some of the Christmas classics, her album fails to inspire anyone one to get excited about the holiday season. Although she may not be a hit with everyone, she still manages to keep her fans enthralled and looking forward to Christmas.

Boyle represents the more ‘peaceful’ Christmas than the jolly good time many may expect. Maybe her album is a little too peaceful since listening to it may drive you to sleep after listening to a couple of verses in the first track which she recorded with the king, Elvis Presley.

Her attempt at the ‘Little Drummer Boy’ sounded like a shopping mall singer’s attempt. However, ‘O Come, All ye Faithful’ which she did with Presley is probably her best attempt in the entire album.
