Open electricity boxes in Alberton North

Who is responsible for keeping the electricity boxes in Alberton in check?

The state of electricity boxes in the Alberton North area is unacceptable.

Boxes are open or left without covers for weeks with no one coming to close them. This is dangerous. There is no knowing who will come in contact with the boxes and electrocute themselves.

The box on Pieter Uys Street has been standing uncovered for weeks. What is being done by the municipality? Whose responsibility is it to fix these problems?

Of just as much concern are the boxes not being locked. Anyone can open a box and tamper with or take anything from in there. What will happen when the meters are stolen or someone tampers with a box.

If pure power then flows through who will be responsible for the damages. Does this not also allow people the opportunity to make connections illegally? Locks are left off or broken.

Something must be done before this problem escalates. If it carries on like this the problems we have with electricity will only get worse. Someone needs to step up and take responsibility for fixing the boxes.
