Athletics club time trial results

The first round of time trials was held on August 7.

ALBERTON Amateur Athletics Club held their first time trial for the year on August 7.

In the 2km men’s trial, Hunter Dreyer finished fastest with a time of 8.28 minutes followed by Raikkonen Strydom with a time of 10.28 minutes.

In the women’s 2km trial, Delane Strydom finished with a time of 9.29 minutes.

In the largest section, the 4km men’s, the fastest runner was Glyn Rynhoud with a time of 15.16 minutes. The remaining top four were Greg Temblett (15.30), Anton Ferreira (15.57), Hendrik Jansen (17.37) and Deon Groenewald (19.12).

In the women’s 4km, Odette Collins finished with a time of 19.07, Tatum White had a time of 20.30 and Deonie Groenewald 26.41 minutes.

Conrad de Kock finished the 8km men’s trial in 36.37 minutes.

The top spot in the women’s 8km section was a tie between Michaela Murat and Jolene Rabie, both finishing in 41.28 minutes. Behind them, the remaining three ladies, Bernadette Wilson, Deneke Snyman and Chanel Labuschagne, finished with a time of 41.44 minutes.
