Complete shopping experience in the city

Message from Alberton City Management for regular shoppers.

With Christmas now literally on our doorstep, December signals a month of unmatched excitement. Get your hands on ‘the best buys in the city’ at Alberton City’s gift fair from December 11 to 15.

Make sure to set a reminder for the ‘Winter Wonderland’ kids entertainment taking place from December 16 to 24. We’ll spoil them with every cool activity a kid could wish for, while you shop at leisure. There will also be an opportunity to take a picture with Santa from December 3 to 24.

Giving back to the community, Alberton City’s invited the Educare Foundation and Avril Elizabeth Home to offer a gift-wrapping service for shoppers at a minimal fee. All proceeds will go to these charities, helping them to continue the good work they do.

This year the centre is keeping its doors open a little longer over the Festive Season as an added convenience offering. The times will be as follows from December 17 to 24: Monday to Thursday – 09:00 to 19:00, Friday – 09:00 to 20:00, Saturday – 09:00 to 19:00 and Sunday: 09:00 to 16:00. Please also note the following dates and shopping hours: December 16 – 09:00 to 16:00, December 24 – 09:00 to 18:00, December 25 – optional trading, December 26 – 09:00 to 16:00, December 31 – 09:00 to 16:00 and January 1 – optional trading.

Alberton City’s upgrade has come to an end for 2013 and will commence on January 13, 2014. The refurbishment will be complete at the end of April 2014. Please visit the Upper Woolworths court during December for a sample of what the floating bulkheads and balustrades will look like in the New Year.

Ready for action in the digital arena, Alberton City’s responsive website is finally live! Please visit the new and improved site by logging on to www.albertoncity.co.za

Finally, I would like to wish all of our shoppers a happy and prosperous festive season. Please travel safely over this period and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2014.
