ON August 14, Fredwin Snyders, (15) a learner at Marais Viljoen High School, fell ill and on his way to hospital he died.

His family has sent this letter of thanks to the school and the Alberton community.

The month of August 2018 will forever be remembered as a life-changing period for the Snyders family. As we try and put life’s pieces back together, my wife and I would like to thank you for your love and support that you have shown us during this difficult period.

Your thoughts and prayers are assisting us to deal with what can only be described as one of life’s great tragedies.

Thank you for your words of comfort and your prayers of hope.

We are eternally grateful
