Carfind.co.za Iqhawe week rugby soon

Carfind.co.za Iqhawe week for u-15 teams at the Bill Jardine Stadium.

The traditional north-south derby between Western Province and the Blue Bulls will feature among several gripping matches on the opening days of the sixth edition of the Carfind.co.za Iqhawe week for u-15 teams at the Bill Jardine Stadium in Johannesburg on October 1.

Teams such as the Valke, Griffons, Griquas and SWD, Eastern Province, Sharks, Leopards, Western Province, the Pumas, Free State and hosts the Golden Lions will battle it out to walk away with the bragging rights.

The 14 teams will participate in the tournament, which started on Monday and will continue on Tuesday and Thursday. Similar to the structure of the SA Rugby Youth Weeks, the teams deemed to have played the best rugby throughout the tournament will meet in the final match of the tournament.

The Carfind.co.za Iqhawe Week was established in 2013 and is a joint venture between SA Rugby and the SA Rugby Legends Association. The tournament offers players from rural, lower-league and non-traditional rugby schools an opportunity to participate in a high-level provincial competition with the objective of creating a pathway for them to advance through SA’s rugby structures.
