Brakenhurst resident tops Albertonians in bakkie giveaway.

ONE lucky customer from Pick n Pay Lemon Tree drove away in a new Ford Ranger Wildtrak on January 26 after winning it in a store competition.

It was Pick n Pay Lemon Tree’s third consecutive year holding this car giveaway.

During the competition, 10 finalists were drawn from the countless entries received.

Jan Boshoff from Brackenhurst was the lucky winner with the correct set of keys.

The competition ran from the middle of November 2018.

All 10 finalists were given keys to open and start the car, but no one succeeded in the first round. Again, keys were put on the table by a Ford dealership representative who held the master key.

This time round, luck was on Jan’s side.

“Participants had to purchase goods worth R300 or more to enter the bakkie giveaway,” said Pick n Pay Lemon Tree’s general manager, Jason Luscos.

A jubilant Jan said: “I couldn’t believe it when the car’s lights went on and the engine started. I would like to thank Pick n Pay Lemon Tree for such a life-changing giveaway.”

There was excitement and joy all round as people congratulated Jan and his wife, Julie.

“My husband has got the luck of the world,” said Julie.
