When last did you visit Alberton Dam in Bloutulp Road, Verwoerd Park?
It is an outright disgrace. We had a braai there on Thursday (March 14), however, one could not get near the dam due to the stench of dead fish and filth. We had to move to a spot where we were upwind of the stench.
It is disgusting that the municipality would allow this to happen in Alberton.
We need to put pressure on the municipality to have the dam cleaned immediately and ensure it will never get to that state again.
