The South Africa Rugby Youth weeks will again take centre stage in the next three weeks as the best schools players in the country look to make their presence felt, with the action starting on June 17 already at the National girl’s u-16 and u-18 weeks, and the Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) Week.
The girl’s weeks kick-off on Monday at Jeppe High School. Also starting on Monday is the LSEN Week, which this year will be hosted at Hoërskool Sentraal in Bloemfontein until Friday.
The most promising young girls will showcase their skills at the annual events and both tournaments have grown in stature over the last few years as the game continues to grow among young female players.
Interestingly, the Griffons u-18 team will be represented by three sets of twins at the week-long festival of girls rugby at Jeppe. They are Tlalane and Tlalage Rapiletse, Bianca and Danele Schutte as well as Modjadji and Mmadjadi Mohali.
