MANDELA Day celebrates the idea that each individual has the power to help change a life. The RECORD asked Albertonians what they plan on doing for their 67 minutes on July 18.
SURAV SANJITH: “To me this day is a holiday, I will spend most of my time with my friends and also catch up with people whom I hardly see.”
MARK GIBSON: “Since my son has come back from the university, on this day I plan on spending more time with him.”
WILLY JACOBS: “There is nothing much different that I will do on the day. As a caretaker, I will be busy taking care of the elderly, which is also making a difference in the community.”
NTHABISENG MIKA: “Each year on this day I dedicate my time to the community. I will spend my time on cleaning up my church.”
